All Japan Koi Show – February 2018

Well, as one trip closes, another one is in the planning stage.

The All Japan Koi Show in Tokyo is the best Koi Show on the planet. You will see the VERY best Koi being exhibited. Sometimes you can see up to 3000 Koi from 12cm all the way up to 100cm and bigger, in all varieties! Some fish you will have never seen before.

The AJKS attracts people from all over the world, I think pretty much all countries have people there so you can meet many new Koi friends, its a great way to network.

We arrive into Tokyo on the Friday morning and within 2 hours we will be in the Hotel in Tokyo. A beautiful Hotel in the heart of Shinagawa. A quick taxi ride or Monorail direct to the show centre.

We will spend all day Saturday at the Koi show and we will have an evening meal on the evening, maybe with a breeder or 2.
The Sunday morning we pack our case and head back for a couple of hours to the Koi Show before getting back to Tokyo station and heading up to the Niigata mountains.
We will spend Sunday afternoon, Monday and Tuesday in the snow filled mountains before we then head down to Isawa to visit Matsunosuke. We will spend a full afternoon and morning with Toshio and Toshi Sakai before heading back to Tokyo for a rerun flight home.

Its a tough, but very enjoyable schedule.
