The Azukari Dream.
Quality Nishikigoi and Koitrips.com will this year will have their very own mudpond in Japan.
The last few years we have had some excellent success in buying Tosai in March/April and leaving them in Japan to grow. We really have had some great Koi come out at Nisai. The pictures below are Koi we bought and grew at Shintaro Koi Farm. We bought the Koi in April 2016 and then harvested them in October 2016. The minimum growth was 20cms. Amazing quality fish.
Azukari simply means that your Koi will be looked after and supervised throughout its growing in our Mudpond. People buy and leave Koi in Japan as an Azukari for the purpose to grow Koi and help them develop properly. Yes, your pond can grow them fast enough but sometimes it takes more to get the body shape developing, the pattern placement also comes out in the mudponds. It is also about the growing, they really do grow very well. Shintaro Koi Farm are one of the very best breeders for looking after Azukari Koi and we are very happy they are there to make sure our Koi are looked after perfectly.
In 2017 we plan on buying and selling up to 20 Jumbo Tosai from Shintaro Koi Farm and then growing them in our own Mudpond in Niigata, Japan.
The Koi will be purchased on our Spring Koi buying trip to Japan and will be pictured on a separate part of the website. We will then let clients pick their Koi from the selection we pick in Spring, with the help of Masaru Saito of Shintaro Koi Farm.
They will be picked from Shintaro Koi Farms Top Tosai house where all the very best Jumbo Tosai are kept. We will be picking only Kohaku, Sanke and Showa for our mudpond and numbers are limited.
This is a very rare chance to pick high class Jumbo Tosai and actually grow them in Japan, the very best place to grow them! They will be fed throughout the Summer and then harvested on our Autumn Koi buying trip to Japan. We will be getting regular updates and pictures/video of the Koi while they are growing during the Summer months. Please make sure you like the Facebook page to see the updates.
In October the pond will be harvested by ourselves and the clients who come out with Koitrips.com, some may even have their own Koi growing in our mudpond.
This is the first time anything like this has been done and thanks to Shintaro Koi Farm we have an excellent deal for our customers old and new.
Only very good quality Koi are grown in Japan, general grade Koi are always sold and will never be grown in the mudponds of Japan. So only the best of the selections will be grown. Space is limited due to how many Koi you can grow in a pond.
The price will include the cost of growing, and shipping back to the UK in October 2017. If the Koi have done as well as we hoped some clients will opt to grow the Koi for another year, that will be dealt with as and when.
On average Shintaro Tosai go into the mudponds between 30cm and 40cm at Tosai. They will come out between 50cm and 60cm plus. So no matter what, you will have an excellent Koi for your pond, these will not be general grade Koi!
So thanks to the relationship we have with Shintaro Koi Farm we have managed to do these for £1150.00 each. There are limited spaces as we will only be growing 20 Koi maximum in this single mudpond.. This price includes growing and shipping back to the UK. The offer is open to other countries but shipping costs will vary.
This will be a very exciting prospect and a great opportunity to own and grow a Tosai to Nisai.
We have already sold some of the spots and we think they will go quite quickly.
