Another one of the great events we visit on the Autumn buying trip is the Matsunosuke Auction.
After the main Matsunosuke harvest, which is one of the biggest and best harvests in the world, the Koi are taken to the INC Koi House in Niigata. They are settled in and then the Koi belonging to clients are bowled up so the clients can see the progress.
Its an amazing day, the 2 ponds that are harvested contain Koi over 90cm. Its an incredible experience.
The day after we attend the Matsunosuke Auction. Some Auctions in Japan are full of VERY expensive Koi which are out of the pockets for many people. The Matsunosuke Auction is just great fun, the Koi are excellent value from Isawa Nishikigoi Centre and his Nephew’s company Yamamatsu in Mushigame. They are up to 3 year old Koi and there have been some stunning Koi bought.
Our clients can pick up a buyers number and get involved. Its a great afternoon and you can pick up some real bargains. We will be on hand to explain the procedures but Sakai San and the other staff will make sure feel at ease and under no pressure.
